Kolori from Honduras is led by Bonnie Castañeda, a long time supporter or the arts and art education in Honduras. She designs slow-fashion, one-of-a-kind garments under the concept of "Art to Wear", with special attention to their artistic value and with a versatility and "non-trendy" look that lends itself to many uses and personal styles.
She selects vibrant classical and contemporary images created by prominent Honduran artists to decorate the garments. The images are transferred into fabric using non-toxic dyes by processes that insure minimal waste of water.
Ms. Castañeda donates a portion of her sales to the Honduran non-profit organization, Women for the Arts, which offers education programs to the community and to the public schools.
